Hi! I’m Margaret!

My husband and I moved to Carbondale four years ago and completly fell in love with the lifestyle. Before starting Rifugio Design Co,, I spent a decade working as an interior architect specializing in custom cabinetry, technical drafting, and interior design. I draw on this expertise to design integrated storage solutions that become a natural part of your home, creating spaces that are beautiful, intuitive, and tailored to the way you live.

In my spare time, you’ll find me biking, swimming in the river, and backpacking in the summer. In the winter, skiing and uphilling fill my weekends. I love making art and needlepointing, spending an evening playing games with my friends, and tending to my garden.
