This small backyard had the potential to become a cozy, functional outdoor retreat. I studied the sun patterns throughout the day to thoughtfully plan the layout, then sourced all materials for the project, including cardboard weed barriers, gravel and slate pathway stones, raised garden beds, vegetable starts, furnishings, and accessories.
The result is a beautiful, highly functional space that supports relaxation, gardening, storage, and easy circulation—proving that even the smallest yards can become inviting outdoor sanctuaries.
